Global Catastrophic Risks Governance
The Global Catastrophic Risk (GCR) Governance Group is building a knowledge base on some of the biggest threats humanity is going to face in the coming decades. It investigates possible pathways to resilience through national and international governance with the goal of developing promising career paths in GCR-Governance-related domains.
We define GCRs as:
events which could damage human well-being on a global scale, potentially crippling or destroying modern civilization.
We recommend reading the Global Catastrophic Risks 2018 report by the Global Challenges Foundation to learn more.
The group organizes regular events aimed at stimulating participants’ personal explorations. These can be:
with invited guest experts;
where participants share knowledge prepared in advance; or
discussions of readings, podcasts, or the like.
