You will spend about 80,000 hours working in your career: 40 hours a week, 50 weeks a year, for 40 years.

Choose wisely, and you will not only have a more rewarding and interesting life, you’ll also be able to help solve some of the world’s most urgent problems. But how should you choose?

In 2012, the Oxford-based non-profit 80000 Hours set out to answer this question. By now, their research has helped millions of people to pursue more impactful and fulfilling careers.

Our community has benefited tremendously from this research, too. We have studied it in-depth, and are in touch with 80000 Hours. Now, we want to help you to apply it to your life.

Together, we will explore questions such as:

  • Which problems do you think most urgently need to have more good people working on them?

  • What do you know about your personal fit and how can you figure out more details without large costs?

  • What are your key uncertainties and how can you make progress on reducing them?
